Migration is one of the most volatile areas of government policy as it reacts and adapts to world events and changes frequently, so we'll share with you anything important or interesting, right here, with you.
Hungary becomes Australia's holiday partner!
Hungarian working holiday makers can spend up to 12 months in Australia under a reciprocal agreement signed by the two countries this week. This allows people aged between 18 to 30 from both countries to visit each other’s country via a scheme that has proved very successful with other currently included nations.
The initial uptake will allow for 200 places - Australia's Immigration Minister Mr Dutton and his Hungarian counterpart will be working hard to bring this opportunity about as quickly as possible.
Mr Dutton said this was a great development as it would encourage young people to add Australia or Hungary as another holiday destination when going abroad to travel, work and study for a short term.
